Which is better for off-roading, the Toyota RAV4 or the Subaru Forester?

I'm an avid off-roader and am looking for a reliable SUV that can handle tough terrain. I've heard good things about the Toyota RAV4 and the Subaru Forester, but I'm not sure which one would be a better fit for me. Can anyone provide some insight on which one is more capable off the beaten path?
