When should I replace the tires on my Toyota Land Cruiser?

I recently bought a used Toyota Land Cruiser and I'm unsure about when I should replace the tires. They seem to have decent tread left, but I don't want to risk driving with old tires. Can anyone offer some advice on when I should replace them and what to look for when choosing new tires?

Hi Nina, it's always better to err on the side of caution when it comes to tire safety. Generally, tires should be replaced every 6 years, even if they still have good tread. However, if you're unsure, there are a few key things to look for when choosing new tires.

Hi Nina, as a long-time Toyota Land Cruiser owner, I recommend replacing your tires every 5-6 years or roughly every 50,000 miles. It's also important to regularly check the tread depth and for any signs of wear and tear.

Hello Nina, as a mechanic with experience working on Toyota Land Cruisers, I suggest checking your tire pressure and tread wear every month. If the tread depth is getting close to 4/32 of an inch or if you notice any cracks, bulges, or uneven wear, it's time for new tires.
