What is the best type of tire for off-roading in a Toyota RAV4?

I am planning to go off-roading in my Toyota RAV4 and I am wondering what type of tire would be best to handle the rough terrain. I have heard that all-terrain tires are great for off-roading, but would they be suitable for my RAV4? I want a tire that can provide good traction and durability, but also won't negatively affect the fuel efficiency of my car. Any recommendations?

I have been off-roading in my Toyota RAV4 for years now and I highly recommend getting all-terrain tires. They can handle various terrains and provide good traction without sacrificing fuel efficiency. I use Falken Wildpeak A/T tires and they have never failed me.

If you are not planning to go off-roading frequently and want a tire that can also perform well on regular roads, I suggest getting all-season tires instead. They are a good balance between off-road capabilities and daily driving. I have had good experiences with Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires.

I personally prefer mud-terrain tires for off-roading in my Toyota RAV4. They provide excellent traction in muddy and rocky terrains, but may negatively affect your fuel efficiency. If you don't mind that, then go for it. BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires are a solid choice.
