Should I modify my Toyota GR86 for better performance?

I am a car enthusiast and recently bought a Toyota GR86. I want to improve its performance, but I'm not sure if it's worth spending money on modifications. What do you suggest?

As an experienced mechanic, I would advise against modifying your Toyota GR86 just for the sake of it. The car already has great performance and handling, and tampering with its factory settings may actually decrease its value and reliability.

I have personally modified my own Toyota GR86 and it has greatly improved its performance on the track. However, it is a costly and time-consuming process, so make sure you have a clear budget and plan before going down this road.

In my opinion, if you're not planning on competing in races, the stock performance of the Toyota GR86 is more than enough for daily use. Save your money and invest in regular maintenance instead.
