I love taking my Toyota Hilux for off-road adventures, but I'm wondering if I should lift it for better clearance and performance. Can someone with experience give me some advice on whether or not to lift my Hilux?
ReplyHey Chris, I suggest lifting your Hilux if you're planning on tackling some serious off-road terrain. It will give you better ground clearance and improved performance. But keep in mind, lifting your truck can also affect your fuel economy and handling on pavement. So it really depends on the type of off-roading you plan on doing. If it's mainly light trails and dirt roads, you might not need the lift.
Hi Chris, I've had a lifted Hilux for years now and I wouldn't go back. The extra clearance and larger tires have allowed me to tackle some seriously challenging trails. Just be sure to invest in a good quality lift kit and have it properly installed to avoid any issues down the line.
Chris, I personally wouldn't lift my Hilux if I were you. It's a durable truck as is and lifting it can also affect the reliability of certain components. Plus, it's an added expense and can also make it more difficult to get in and out of the truck. I'd stick with the stock setup unless you're planning on some hardcore off-roading.
