Is the Toyota Land Cruiser suitable for off-road driving?

I am planning to go on a camping trip and I am considering buying a Toyota Land Cruiser. I heard it's great for off-road driving, but I'm not sure if it's the right choice for me. Can anyone give me some advice or share their experience with this vehicle?
