Are Toyota Priuses reliable cars?

I am considering purchasing a Toyota Prius and I have heard conflicting opinions on their reliability. Some people say they are extremely reliable while others have had numerous issues. Can anyone give me some insight on their experience with Priuses?

In my personal experience, I have owned a Toyota Prius for 5 years and have not had any major issues with it. As long as you keep up with regular maintenance, they are very reliable cars.

I have also owned a Prius for 7 years and have had some minor issues with it over the years. However, the gas mileage and eco-friendliness make it worth it for me.
