Which Toyota Highlander configuration is best for off-roading?

I've heard that the Toyota Highlander is a capable off-roading vehicle, but I'm not sure which configuration to choose. Should I go for the all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive? And are there any specific features or upgrades that would make it better for off-roading? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi Samantha, great question! When it comes to off-roading with a Toyota Highlander, there are a few factors to consider. Both the all-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive options offer improved traction and stability on rough terrain, so either one could work for your needs. As for features, I would recommend going with the XSE or Limited trim for their upgraded suspension and hill descent control. Happy off-roading!

Hey Samantha, glad you're considering the Toyota Highlander for off-roading. In my experience, the 4-wheel drive option is better suited for rugged terrain as it allows for better power distribution to all four wheels. And for added off-road capability, I would opt for the SE trim with the Multi-Terrain Select feature. Hope this helps!

Hi there, Samantha! As a long-time Toyota Highlander owner, I can say it's definitely a capable off-roading vehicle. In terms of drivetrain, I would recommend the all-wheel drive for its enhanced traction and stability. And for added peace of mind off-road, consider getting the optional rear differential lock. Best of luck on your adventures!
