Why is the suspension on my Toyota Hilux feeling stiff?

I recently noticed that the suspension on my Toyota Hilux is feeling stiff and bumpy. It used to ride smoothly over bumps, but now it feels like I'm driving a tank. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Melissa, there are a few possible reasons why your suspension might be feeling stiff. One possibility is that your shocks or struts are worn out and need to be replaced. Another possibility is that your suspension components, such as the control arms and bushings, are worn out and need to be replaced. It's also possible that your tires are over-inflated or under-inflated, causing the stiffness in the ride. I would recommend taking your Hilux to a mechanic to diagnose the issue and make any necessary repairs.

Hey Melissa, stiff suspension can also be caused by a build-up of dirt and grime on the suspension components. I would recommend giving your Hilux a thorough wash and cleaning out any dirt or debris that may have accumulated on the suspension. If the problem persists, then it may be a sign of worn out suspension components that need to be replaced.

Hi Melissa, if your Hilux has a lifted suspension, it's possible that the lift kit was not installed properly, causing a stiff and bumpy ride. I would recommend taking your vehicle to a mechanic who specializes in lifted vehicles to have them take a look and make any necessary adjustments.
