Why is my Toyota Prius making a beeping noise?

I've noticed that my Toyota Prius has started making a beeping noise whenever I drive. I've checked all of the warning lights and they're not on. What could be causing this noise?

It sounds like you may have accidentally activated the beep sound which is part of the vehicle's pedestrian warning system. This is meant to warn people outside the vehicle that it is in motion. You can turn this off by going to 'Settings' on the touch screen display and selecting 'Pedestrian Warning System' then 'Off'. Hope this helps!

Another possibility could be that you have left your keys inside the vehicle, or they are within range. This will often trigger a beeping noise as a warning to take your keys with you. Make sure you have them with you or out of range to see if the noise stops.

If the beeping noise persists even after checking these factors, it could be an indication of a malfunction in the vehicle's system. It's best to take your Toyota Prius to a certified mechanic for a diagnostic check.
