The most fuel efficient model of the Toyota Prius is the Prius Eco. It has an EPA estimated 58 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway. This model also has a lighter weight and special aerodynamic features to help improve its fuel efficiency.

If you are willing to sacrifice a little bit of fuel efficiency for more features, the standard Prius model has an EPA estimated 54 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway. This model has a larger battery which powers additional features like a 7-inch touchscreen display and heated front seats.

For the ultimate in fuel efficiency, I recommend the Toyota Prius Prime. This model has an EPA estimated all-electric range of 25 miles and an EPA estimated 54 mpg when operating in hybrid mode. You can also take advantage of federal tax credits for plug-in hybrids.
