Which is the most reliable year for a used Toyota Highlander?

I am in the market for a used Toyota Highlander, but I am not sure which year to choose. Can anyone tell me which year has the least mechanical problems and is the most reliable overall?

In my experience, the 2016 Toyota Highlander has been the most reliable. My friend has one and she hasn't had any major issues with it in the past 5 years.
