I am in the market for a used Toyota Highlander, but I am not sure which year to choose. Can anyone tell me which year has the least mechanical problems and is the most reliable overall?
ReplyIn my experience, the 2016 Toyota Highlander has been the most reliable. My friend has one and she hasn't had any major issues with it in the past 5 years.
I would recommend avoiding the 2014 model. I have one and it has had constant transmission issues. Go for a 2017 or newer, they have improved technology and better reliability.
I've had a 2015 Toyota Highlander for 4 years now and it has been extremely reliable. Regular maintenance is key, so make sure to keep up with that.
I've owned both a 2012 and a 2019 Highlander and I have to say, the newer models are much more reliable. The 2012 had multiple recalls and issues, but my 2019 has been smooth sailing.
