Which is better for fuel efficiency, the Toyota Corolla Hybrid or the Toyota Corolla Hatchback?

I'm trying to decide between the Toyota Corolla Hybrid and the Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Both seem like good options, but I'm not sure which one is more fuel efficient. Can anyone provide some insight?

In my personal experience, the Toyota Corolla Hybrid has been much more fuel efficient than the Hatchback.

I've heard that the Hatchback actually has better fuel efficiency due to its smaller size.
