Which is better for city driving - manual or automatic transmission?

I'm considering buying a Toyota Yaris for my city commute, but I'm not sure if I should go for a manual or automatic transmission. Can you give me some advice on the pros and cons of each?

I've had experience with both manual and automatic transmissions in the city, and I personally prefer automatic. It's easier to navigate through stop-and-go traffic and it takes the stress out of constantly shifting gears.
