I'm looking to buy a used Toyota Land Cruiser for my off-roading adventures. I want to know which generation, from 1980 to present, has the best performance and durability for rough terrain.
ReplyIn my personal experience, the 3rd generation Land Cruiser, specifically the 80 series, is the most reliable and capable for off-roading. They have a solid front axle which is preferred for heavy-duty use, and their engines are known to last for over 300,000 miles.
I would argue that the 4th generation Land Cruiser, 200 series, is the best for off-roading. It has an updated suspension system, locking differentials, and a powerful V8 engine. Plus, they have a more modern and comfortable interior.
