Which engine option is best for off-roading in the Toyota Highlander?

I'm looking to go off-roading with my Toyota Highlander, but there are multiple engine options to choose from. Which engine would you recommend for optimal performance and durability? I don't want to end up breaking down in the middle of nowhere.

If you're planning on doing some more intense off-roading, I would suggest going with the V6 engine option. It has more horsepower and torque, making it better equipped for rough terrain.

For lighter off-roading and everyday driving, the base 4-cylinder engine should suffice. It'll save you some money in terms of gas and maintenance costs.

Personally, I went with the hybrid engine option for my own Highlander. It's been great for both city driving and my occasional off-road adventures.
