I'm torn between choosing the Toyota GR86 or the Subaru BRZ. Can anyone help me understand the differences between the two?

Both the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ have the same engine and similar performance, since they were co-developed by both companies. However, the GR86 has a sportier suspension tuning and more responsive steering, making it a bit more thrilling to drive. On the other hand, the BRZ has a slightly lower price point and a more refined interior. If you're looking for a more raw and engaging driving experience, I would recommend the GR86. But if you want a balance of performance and practicality, the BRZ might be the better choice.

I personally own a Toyota GR86 and have driven the Subaru BRZ as well. The main difference for me is the styling - the GR86 has a more aggressive and modern look compared to the BRZ. But beyond aesthetics, the GR86 has a more rigid chassis and better handling, while the BRZ has a more refined and comfortable ride. It ultimately depends on your preferences and driving style. If you value nimbleness and agility, go for the GR86. But if you prioritize comfort and usability, the BRZ is a great option.

I've test driven both the Toyota GR86 and Subaru BRZ multiple times and here's my take on it. The GR86 offers a more intense and thrilling driving experience, while the BRZ is more livable and practical for everyday use. The GR86 also has a higher-resale value, if that's something that matters to you. But either way, both cars are great options for enthusiasts looking for a budget-friendly sports car.
