What is the best tire pressure for off-roading in a Toyota RAV4?

I'm planning to take my Toyota RAV4 off-roading and I'm not sure what tire pressure I should have for optimal performance. Should I stick to the manufacturer's recommended pressure or lower it for better traction?

For off-roading, it's best to lower your tire pressure by about 5-10 psi from the manufacturer's recommendation. This will give you better traction and a smoother ride on rough terrain. Just make sure not to go too low, as it may put your tires at risk for damage.

I've found that the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure works just fine for off-roading in a Toyota RAV4. As long as your tires aren't over-inflated, you should have enough grip on most terrains.

As an avid off-roader, I recommend lowering your tire pressure to around 20 psi for the best performance on rough terrain. Don't worry about damaging your tires, as long as you keep your speed in check and avoid sharp objects.
