What is the best material for off-roading tires in a Toyota Hilux?

I am planning to upgrade my Toyota Hilux for off-roading and I am wondering what is the best type of tire material to use. I have heard that mud tires are good, but I have also heard that all-terrain tires can also handle tough terrain. Can you recommend a specific type and brand of tire that would work well in off-road conditions?

For off-roading in a Toyota Hilux, I would recommend going with all-terrain tires. They are durable and versatile, making them perfect for navigating through rugged terrain. As for specific brands, I have had good experiences with BF Goodrich, Goodyear, and Falken tires. Make sure to check the load rating and size to ensure a proper fit for your vehicle.

In my opinion, mud tires are the way to go for off-roading in a Toyota Hilux. They provide better traction in muddy and wet conditions compared to all-terrain tires. Mickey Thompson, Nitto, and Maxxis are some popular brands for mud tires that have good reviews from off-roading enthusiasts. Just be aware that they might not perform as well on dry or rocky terrain.

I have been off-roading with my Toyota Hilux for years and I have found that it really depends on the type of terrain you will be tackling. For a mix of mud, rocks, and sand, I would recommend all-terrain tires. But if you are planning on mostly driving through deep mud, then definitely go with mud tires. And don't forget to regularly check your tire pressure and rotate them for an even wear!
