What are the best aftermarket performance upgrades for the Toyota GR86?

I just got my hands on a Toyota GR86 and I want to boost its performance. I heard that there are a lot of aftermarket upgrades available, but which ones are worth investing in? I'm looking for something that will improve the handling and overall driving experience. Any recommendations?

First of all, congrats on getting a GR86! It's already a great performer straight from the factory, but there are definitely some upgrades that can take it to the next level. In terms of handling, upgrading the suspension with coilovers or sway bars can significantly improve the car's cornering abilities. You could also consider getting stickier tires for better grip. As for overall driving experience, a cold air intake and exhaust system can increase power and give the car a sportier sound. But keep in mind, these upgrades can also affect your car's warranty, so make sure to do some research and consult with a trusted mechanic before making any modifications.

I've been a GR86 owner for a couple of years now and have experimented with a few aftermarket upgrades. One of my favorite performance enhancements is a lightweight flywheel, which improves acceleration and throttle response. Another great addition is a limited slip differential, which helps with traction and stability when taking turns. And if you want to give your car a bit more attitude, a front lip and rear spoiler not only look cool but also provide some aerodynamic advantages. Of course, as with any upgrades, it's important to have them installed by a reputable shop to ensure proper fit and function.

I used to be a mechanic for a Toyota dealership and have worked on plenty of GR86s. For a budget-friendly performance boost, I recommend getting a header and tune. This combination often results in noticeable gains in both horsepower and torque. And if you want to improve the car's looks and performance at the same time, a set of lightweight wheels can really make a difference. Just make sure to choose a reputable brand to ensure durability and safety. Happy modding!
