Should I upgrade my exhaust on my Toyota GR86?

I recently bought a Toyota GR86 and have been debating whether or not to upgrade the exhaust. I've heard it can improve performance and sound, but is it worth the investment? I also want to make sure I won't lose any factory warranty. What do you recommend?
