Should I purchase a hybrid or gas-powered Toyota RAV4?

I am in the market for a Toyota RAV4 and I can't decide between a hybrid and gas-powered model. I have heard that hybrids are more fuel-efficient but I am concerned about the maintenance and eco-friendliness. Can anyone provide some advice on which option would be better for me and the planet?
