Should I go for the Toyota Hilux or the Ford Ranger?

I'm in the market for a new truck and I'm torn between the Toyota Hilux and the Ford Ranger. This will be my first truck and I plan on using it for both daily commute and occasional off-roading. Which one would you recommend?
