Should I get the Toyota Highlander or the Toyota RAV4 for my family trips?

I'm planning on taking my family on some road trips next summer and I want a reliable and comfortable car. I've heard great things about both the Toyota Highlander and RAV4. Which one would you recommend for family trips?
