Should I choose a diesel or gasoline Toyota Hilux?

I'm planning on buying a new Toyota Hilux, but I'm not sure if I should choose a diesel or gasoline engine. Can someone give me some advice on the pros and cons of each option?

As someone who has owned both a diesel and gasoline Toyota Hilux, I can say that it ultimately depends on your personal preference and usage. If you plan on doing a lot of off-roading or towing heavy loads, then the diesel engine may be a better choice due to its torque and fuel efficiency. However, if you mostly drive in the city and don't need the extra power, a gasoline engine may be more suitable and cost-effective in the long run.

I have always preferred gasoline engines in my trucks because they are smoother and quieter compared to diesel engines. Plus, they typically have lower maintenance costs. But if you need a lot of torque and don't mind the extra noise, then a diesel Toyota Hilux may be a better fit for you.

I highly recommend test driving both options before making a decision. I personally found the diesel to be too loud and clunky for my liking, but my friend loves the power it provides. So, it really depends on your driving style and preferences.
