Should I choose a 4x4 or a 4x2 Toyota Hilux for my upcoming camping trip?

I'm planning a camping trip in the mountains and I'm not sure which type of Toyota Hilux would be better for the terrain. I've heard that a 4x4 is better for off-roading, but I'm not sure if it's necessary for my trip. Can anyone offer some advice?

As someone who owns both a 4x2 and a 4x4 Toyota Hilux, I would highly recommend the 4x4 for any camping trip in the mountains. It offers better traction and control on rough terrain.

If you're planning on doing any serious off-roading on your trip, definitely go for the 4x4. But if it's just a few dirt roads and easy trails, a 4x2 should be sufficient.
