Is the Toyota Highlander a good car for driving in the mountains?

I am planning on taking a trip to the mountains with my family and I am wondering if the Toyota Highlander is a suitable car for driving in these types of terrain. We will be going up steep inclines and possibly some unpaved roads. Should I consider a different car or is the Highlander capable enough?
