Is it worth getting a Toyota Highlander for off-roading adventures?

I recently got into off-roading and I'm looking for a reliable and capable vehicle. I heard good things about the Toyota Highlander but I'm not sure if it's a suitable option. Can anyone with experience give me some insights?
