Is it worth buying a hybrid Toyota Yaris?

I've been thinking about buying a car and I'm interested in the Toyota Yaris. I've heard that there's a hybrid version, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra cost. Can someone give me some advice on whether I should consider a hybrid or stick with a traditional gas model?
