I'm thinking of buying a Toyota RAV4 and I'm wondering if I need to get the 4-wheel drive option. I live in a city and don't plan on going off-roading, but I want to make sure I have enough traction during winter. Will the front-wheel drive be enough or should I go for the extra cost of 4-wheel drive?
ReplyIt ultimately depends on your personal preference and driving habits. If you live in an area with harsh winters and frequently encounter snow, ice or uneven terrain, 4-wheel drive may be a good investment.
Modern front-wheel drive systems have significantly improved and are more than capable of handling winter conditions. Unless you plan on doing a lot of off-roading, you can save some money and stick with the front-wheel drive option.
