I recently bought a Toyota Land Cruiser and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it to ensure it's longevity. What are the key maintenance tasks I should be focusing on and how often should I do them?
ReplyRegularly change the oil and filters every 5,000 miles or as recommended by the owner's manual. Make sure to also check the fluid levels, including transmission, brake, and coolant, and top them off if needed.
Inspect the tires and rotate them every 6,000 miles to ensure even wear and extend their lifespan. Check the tire pressure at least once a month and adjust it according to the recommended levels.
Keep an eye on the brakes and replace them if they start making unusual noises or if the brake pedal feels spongy. Also, make sure to have the brake fluid flushed and replaced every 2 years.
Don't forget to regularly replace the air filter to ensure the engine is getting enough clean air. You should also check the spark plugs and replace them if necessary.
