How often should I change the oil in my Toyota Corolla?

I am a new Toyota Corolla owner and I am wondering how often I should change the oil in my car. Do I have to do it every 3,000 miles or can I wait longer?

It is recommended to change the oil in your Toyota Corolla every 5,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. This ensures that your engine continues to run smoothly and efficiently.

If you do a lot of city driving or frequently drive in stop-and-go traffic, it is best to change your oil every 3,000 miles. This type of driving puts more strain on your engine and causes the oil to break down faster.

You can also refer to your owner's manual for specific recommendations on oil change intervals. Some newer models may have longer intervals between oil changes due to advancements in engine technology.
