How is the fuel efficiency of the Toyota GR86 compared to its competitors?

I'm looking to buy a new sports car and have been eyeing the Toyota GR86. However, I'm also considering other options like the Subaru BRZ and Mazda MX-5. Can someone provide insight on which car has better fuel efficiency and if the GR86's 2.4L engine is worth it?

I have owned both the Toyota GR86 and the Subaru BRZ and I can confidently say that the GR86 has better fuel efficiency. The 2.4L engine gives it a slight edge over the BRZ's 2.0L engine.
