How do I choose the right exhaust system for my Toyota Supra?

I recently bought a new Toyota Supra and I want to upgrade the exhaust system. There are so many options on the market, how do I choose the best one for my car? Will it affect the performance or sound? Any brands I should consider?

Hey Mark, congrats on your new Supra! Choosing the right exhaust system can make a huge difference in both performance and sound. First, consider what you want to achieve - do you want a deeper sound, more horsepower, or both? Once you have a goal in mind, do some research on different brands and their offerings. Some popular ones for the Supra are HKS, Greddy, and Borla. Make sure to read reviews and listen to sound clips before making a decision. And when in doubt, consult with a trusted mechanic or fellow Supra owner for their recommendations.

Hi Mark, exhaust systems are definitely a personal preference, but I would recommend investing in a high-quality brand like AWE or Armytrix. These will not only improve the sound and performance of your Supra, but also last longer and have better resale value. Also, keep in mind that a full exhaust system (header, midpipe, and cat-back) will give you the best results, but can be pricier. If you're on a budget, start with a cat-back exhaust and work your way up. Good luck!

Hi there Mark, I've been a Supra owner for over a decade now and have tried out various exhaust systems. My personal favorite is the Apexi N1. It has a great sound, is dyno-proven for performance gains, and is reasonably priced. Make sure to also get a high-flow cat for optimal results. And as a general tip, avoid cheap, generic exhaust systems as they can actually decrease performance and cause issues in the long run.
