I recently noticed that one of my headlights on my Toyota Prius is burnt out. I've never had to change a headlight before and I'm not sure where to start. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions?
ReplyThe first step is to locate the headlight housing. It is usually located behind the front bumper or in the engine compartment depending on your specific Prius model. Once you have located it, you may need a screwdriver or wrench to remove the housing.
After you have removed the housing, you will see the back of the headlight. There will be a plastic cap that you will need to twist off to access the headlight bulb. Be careful not to touch the bulb with your bare hands as the oils from your skin can damage it.
Once you have removed the old bulb, replace it with a new one. Make sure the bulb is securely in place before replacing the plastic cap and the headlight housing.
