Is the Toyota RAV4 a reliable car for daily use?

I am thinking of buying a Toyota RAV4 for my daily commute. However, I have heard mixed reviews about its reliability. Can anyone with personal experience share their thoughts on this?

I have been driving my Toyota RAV4 for over 5 years now and I have never had any major issues. It has been a reliable car for my daily commute.

I had a Toyota RAV4 before and it gave me a lot of trouble. The engine would randomly shut off and it cost me a lot in repairs. I would not recommend it for daily use.
